What is Cyber Law::

Cyber Law is the law governing cyberspace. Cyberspace is a very wide term and includes computers, networks, software, data storage devices (such as hard disks, USB disks, etc), the Internet, websites, emails, and even electronic devices such as cell phones, ATM machines also.

Under which Act the Cyber Law is enforced/protected?

The primary source of cyber law in India is the Information Technology Act, 2000 (IT Act) which came into force on 17 October 2000. The Act has been amended from time to time according to the requirements from time to time.

Where to file complaints?

The complaint is required to be filed before the Local Police Station and the police after knowing the fact the lodged the FIR.

Whether they help of a technical person is required?

Yes, The director, deputy director, or assistant director of a Central or State Cyber Forensic Laboratory is usually summoned to court in cases involving cybercrime and digital evidence.
